[Problem] To provide a spacer for a C-shaped channel attachment nut that facilitates the task of positioning an attachment nut at a desired position in a C-shaped channel. [Solution] This spacer 10 for a C-shaped channel attachment nut is characterized by: including a retaining section 20 that is inserted through an opening of a C-shaped channel into the interior thereof and that fills a gap between a back surface of an attachment nut body 1 that is disposed so that a fastening hole 2 does not overlap with the opening and an inner surface of the C-shaped channel that faces a lip; the retaining section 20 being in contact with the back surface of the attachment nut body 1; and, when the fastening hole 2 and the opening are disposed so as to overlap, the retaining section 20 being in contact with the inner surface and having sufficient elastic force to press from the back surface of the attachment nut body 1 toward the lip to allow the opening to be positioned at a desired position.
