Abstract:

[Problem] To provide a solid state imaging element equipped with an organic layer formed from an organic material, wherein peeling of the organic layer from a substrate and the deterioration of the organic layer by heating can be suppressed. [Solution] A solid state imaging element equipped with: a plurality of two-dimensionally arrayed pixel electrodes (12); a counter electrode (20) provided facing the pixel electrodes (12); and an organic layer (17) formed from an organic material and provided between the pixel electrodes (12) and the counter electrode (20). The organic layer (17) includes a plurality of uniformly formed layers, and the formation range of one layer (18) among the two layers (18, 19) included in said plurality of layers includes the formation range of the other layer (19), and the formation range of the one layer (18) is formed so as to be broader than the formation range of the other layer (19).
