Abstract:
This technology relates to a solid-state image capturing device, an electronic instrument, and an AD converting device which make it possible to suppress the occurrence of errors in AD conversion results.
The solid-state image capturing device is provided with: a pixel unit having a plurality of pixels; a comparator which compares a pixel signal, output from a pixel, with a reference signal; and a counter which counts a comparison time of the comparator. The comparator is provided with: a first amplifier which performs a comparison operation between the pixel signal and the reference signal; a second amplifier which has a first transistor and which amplifies an output signal from the first amplifier; and a second transistor having the same polarity as the first transistor. The gate of the second transistor is connected to the output terminal of the first amplifier, and the source and drain of the second transistor are connected to the same fixed potential as the source of the first transistor. This technology is applicable to CMOS image sensors, for example.
