Abstract:
Provided are: a soft magnetic iron alloy sheet which has a saturation magnetic flux density comparable to permendur and an iron loss equivalent to electromagnetic pure iron, and is cheaper than permendur; and a manufacturing method therefor. A soft magnetic iron alloy sheet according to the present invention is characterized by: having a chemical composition containing 0-30 at% of Co, 0.1-11 at% of N, and 0-1.2 at% of vanadium, with the remainder consisting of Fe and impurities; and including, in the thickness direction of said soft magnetic iron alloy sheet, a surface layer region having an average nitrogen concentration of 1-15 at%, and an internal region having a lower average nitrogen concentration than the surface layer region, wherein the surface layer region has a thickness corresponding to 1-30% from both principal surfaces of said soft magnetic iron alloy sheet, and iron nitride martensite having a tetragonal structure is generated.
