Abstract:
Provided is a socket for an electrical component, configured so as to be capable of being connected to the electrical component irrespective of errors in the mounting positions of a plurality of connectors provided to the electrical component. This socket for an electrical component is provided with: a plurality of insertion sections into which the terminals of the electrical component are inserted in a first direction and which are arranged side-by-side in a direction intersecting the first direction; a first wiring board which is provided to at least one of the insertion sections and to which the ends of the insertion sections, which face in the first direction, are affixed; an electrically conductive member which electrically connects the first wiring board and the terminals having been inserted in the insertion sections; and a support board to which the first wiring board is loosely fitted so as to be movable in a direction intersecting the first direction within a predetermined range.
