Title:
SMALL-SIZED MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2001/033699
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A small-sized motor wherein a brush device is composed of a carbon brush (1), a straight brush arm (2) holding the same and a brush base (3) connected to the brush arm (2). The brush base (3) is provided with a receptacle terminal (5) formed by cutting up the brush base, whereby the brush base (3) is formed with a base hole (6) corresponding to the receptacle terminal (5). Attachment of the brush device to the case cover (4) is effected at two places, the region where the brush arm (2) and brush base (3) are fixed, and the front end of the brush base integral with the base of the receptacle terminal (5). This reduces the vibration component produced axially of the motor in the portion rubbing against the commutator during the rotation of the motor, thereby reducing noise, and prevents the brush tension from varying when external terminals are inserted through the external terminal insertion port.
