The present invention provides a small electric device capable of preventing overcharging when charging a secondary cell, and of precisely charging the secondary cell by restoring a charging function of a non-contact charger even in a case where the secondary cell is empty. A non-contact charger (3) is provided with a resonant circuit (15) and a rectifier circuit (16). The resonant circuit (15) includes a secondary coil (13) and a resonant capacitor (14), the resonant capacitor (14) being connected to the coil (13) in parallel. Between the rectifier circuit (16) and a secondary cell (11) are provided a charging and discharging control circuit (19) and a voltage monitoring circuit (20). The resonant circuit (15) is provided with a switch (25) for changing the capacitance of the resonant capacitor (14). In a state where the secondary cell (11) is fully charged, when the impedance of the resonant circuit (15) is changed by switching the switch (25) using the charging and discharging control circuit (19), the resonant circuit (15) is changed from a first power-receiving state to a second power-receiving state. In the first power-receiving state, the power-receiving state is optimal, and in the second power-receiving state, the poser-receiving state is significantly degraded.
