Abstract:
Disclosed is a slow operation open/close valve having a valve opening pressure chamber for moving an operation member for operating a valve body which is brought into contact with or moved away from a valve seat to open/close a passage, in the valve opening direction against a biasing force applied by a spring in the valve closing direction, wherein air is supplied little by little to the valve opening pressure chamber via a flow regulation valve. In the slow operation open/close valve, the dead time from the receipt of a valve opening signal to the beginning of a valve opening operation is short. A manifold is provided so as to be independent from the valve opening pressure chamber. Between the valve opening pressure chamber and the manifold, there are three valves, i.e., a pressure regulation valve which allows air to flow from the manifold to the valve opening pressure chamber until the pressure within the valve opening pressure chamber reaches a predetermined reserve pressure and which is closed when the pressure within the valve opening pressure chamber reaches the reserve pressure, a flow regulation valve which supplies air from the manifold to the valve opening pressure chamber little by little after the pressure within the valve opening pressure chamber reaches the reserve pressure, and an exhaust valve which is closed by rapidly discharging air within the valve opening pressure chamber to the manifold when the pressure of the manifold is reduced to below the pressure within the valve opening pressure chamber.
