Title:
SLIDING CONSTANT VELOCITY UNIVERSAL JOINT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/150836
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This double-offset type sliding constant velocity universal joint comprises: an outer joint member having six rectilinear track grooves axially formed in the circular cylindrical inner peripheral surface of the outer joint member; an inner joint member having six rectilinear track grooves axially formed in the spherical outer peripheral surface of the inner joint member, the track grooves facing the rectilinear track grooves of the outer joint member, the inner joint member also having formed at the center thereof a connection hole to which a shaft is connected; six torque transmission balls mounted between the rectilinear track grooves of the outer joint member and the rectilinear track grooves of the inner joint member; and a retainer for retaining the torque transmission balls and having a spherical outer peripheral surface and a spherical inner peripheral surface, which are in contact with and guided by the circular cylindrical inner peripheral surface of the outer joint member and the spherical outer peripheral surface of the inner joint member. The ratio between the minimum wall thickness of the retainer and the diameter of the torque transmission balls is set in the range of 0.225 to 0.245, the ratio between the diameter of the torque transmission balls and the spline major diameter of the connection hole in the inner joint member is set in the range of 0.79 to 0.85, and the ball contact ratio of the torque transmission balls is set in the range of 1.08 to 1.12.
