Abstract:
Provided is a sliding component capable of stably maintaining an own sliding surface to be parallel, relative to the sliding surface of another sliding component. A sliding component 10 which is disposed in a place where relative rotation is performed in a rotary electric machine 1 and which slides relative to another sliding component 30, the sliding component 10 comprising, on the sliding surface 11 thereof, a fluid introduction groove 12 in communication with a fluid side, and a dynamic pressure generation groove 13 in communication with the fluid introduction groove 12 and extending in the circumferential direction. The dynamic pressure generation groove 13 is provided with projecting/recessing parts 17,18 repeatedly undulated toward the terminal 13b thereof.
