Abstract:
Provided is a sliding component which is capable of improving the lubricity between sliding surfaces. A sliding component 10 which slides relative to another sliding component 20 and is positioned in an area which rotates relative to a rotary machine, wherein a plurality of projections 30 are provided to the sliding surface 11 of the sliding component 10, and a groove 14 is formed contiguously between adjacent projections 30 so as to continue from a sealing side S1 to a leaking side S2.
