Abstract:
Provided is a sliding component which supplies a sealing target fluid up to a leaking side between sliding surfaces to exhibit high lubrication property and which causes small leak of the sealing target fluid. This annular sliding component 10 arranged at a relatively rotating place of a rotary electric machine is provided with on a sliding surface 11 of the sliding component 10: a plurality of dynamic pressure generating mechanisms 14 each comprising a deep groove part 15 communicating with the leaking side; and a shallow groove part 9A that communicates with the deep groove part 15 and circumferentially extends.
