Abstract:
Provided is a slide bearing that is for an electric water pump and has exceptionally low friction in water and antifreeze. A slide bearing 3 for an electric water pump that comprises: a rotor 1 that comprises the slide bearing 3, which is substantially cylindrical and rotatably supports a shaft; and a stator that is provided on the circumference of a circle that is coaxial with the shaft and rotationally drives the rotor 1. The slide bearing comprises a resin composition that includes a synthetic resin as a principal component. Relative to the total volume thereof, the resin composition includes 5–30 volume% of carbon fibers that have a density of 2.00–2.25 g/cm3 and an average fiber length of 30–300 μm.
