Abstract:
Provided is a slewing hydraulic work machine capable of high efficiency slewing boom lifting work. A hydraulic work machine comprises an upper slewing body, a work device including a boom, a hydraulic pump (31), a variable capacity slewing motor (25), a slewing control device (35, 45) to control slewing by receiving a slewing command operation, a boom cylinder (26), a boom control device (37, 46) to control boom lifting by receiving a boom lifting command operation, a boom angle detector (68), and a capacity control unit (50). The capacity control unit (50) calculates command motor capacity on the basis of the boom angle, generates a capacity command signal corresponding to the command motor capacity, and inputs the signal to the slewing motor (25). During a slewing boom lifting operation, the capacity control unit (50) sets the command motor capacity to a capacity that is no greater than a reference capacity when the boom angle is not greater than a slewing priority angle and sets the command motor capacity to a capacity that is greater than the reference capacity when the boom angle is greater than the slewing priority angle.
