Abstract:
Provided is a sintered ore that has improved reduction characteristics and reduced disintegration-during-powdering characteristics. Proposed is a method for producing the sintered ore. Further provided are a sintered ore for hydrogen reduction, and a method for producing same. The present invention is a sintered ore for which the ratio PA/PB is at least 0.23. PA (percentage by volume) is porosity measured by mercury penetration after a sintered ore with a particle diameter of at least 5 mm has been pulverized so that the mean particle diameter is in the range 1–2 mm, and PB is porosity determined using apparent density measured by weighing the sintered ore in liquid using water and true density measured by boiling or by vacuum suction after pulverizing and sifting the sintered ore to the particle diameter smaller than 250 μm. The present invention is a method for producing a sintered ore using raw materials that include an ore with a crystal-bound water content of at least 4% by mass. Furthermore, the present invention is a sintered ore for hydrogen reduction for which the porosity ratio PA/PB is at least 0.25.
