Abstract:
The present invention discloses an improvement for suppressing the slipping of shoes in a simple staircase installed on an inclination such as a slope or a mountain path. A beam member 3 of each step in this simple staircase 1 has a tubular section 11 that is stepped on with the arch portion or heel portion of a shoe 61 of a person climbing or descending the staircase 1, and a flange section 13 that is stepped on with the front half of the shoe 61 of a person climbing the staircase 1. An upper surface 11A of the tubular section 11 is curved in an arc shape and bulges further upward than an upper surface 13A of the flange section 13. A plurality of large protrusions 15 having a relatively large size are installed upright in a plurality of locations in the vicinity of an open edge of the upper surface 11A of the tubular section 11. A plurality of small protrusions 17 having a relatively small size are installed upright on the upper surface 13A of the flange section 13.
