Abstract:
Provided are a side seal and linear motion guide device provided with the same making it possible to prevent foreign matter from entering the interior of a slider and prevent outflowing of lubricant, without adversely affecting or lowering the inherent functionality possessed by a lip. The linear motion guide device (1) is provided with a side seal (30) having a lip section (33) that is attached to an axial end of a slider (20) and is in sliding contact with a guide rail (10). A thin film (40) that is in sliding contact with the guide rail (10) and partially fills a gap (34) of the lip section (33) is provided to the side seal (30).
