Description:
SHOWER CURTAIN USING SPRING AND MULTI-PURPOSE MECHANISMS

Field of the Invention

This invention relates to industrial product design.

Background of the Invention

The background of the shower curtain innovation inside bathroom using spring and multipurpose mechanisms is rack-type shower curtains. Installation of the mentioned curtains requires bathroom wall drilling in order to place cloth racks, hence a complication, and curtain fabric will be flabby and not able to retract by itself, resulting in curtains clinging to the body upon the user leaving the bath or shower area. There will be water slosh outside desired areas as well, possibly leading to accidents. Concerning the existing problems, the shower curtain innovation inside bathroom using spring and multi-purpose mechanisms is designed to resolve all the aforementioned problems, and it can be used in various areas other than bathrooms.

Summary of the Invention

As regards this invention’s objective, based on the abovementioned problems, the invention is the shower curtain innovation inside bathroom using spring and multi-purpose mechanisms aiming for the curtain to minimise water slosh to areas outside the bath or shower area. Upon water bouncing off the curtain, the water will flow downwards, and not outwards, and water slosh outside the bath or shower area is thus minimised, where such water slosh would otherwise pose a risk of accidents in bathrooms, because curtain fabric will not be flabby and can retract by itself by restoring force of spring mechanisms. In the invention of the shower curtain innovation inside bathroom using spring and multi-purpose mechanisms, both its interior and exterior compositions have been designed to fit for use. Also, the shower curtain innovation inside bathroom using spring and multi-purpose mechanisms can be used in various areas other than bathrooms, depending on the user’s requirement on the area of use. For example, the shower curtain innovation inside bathroom using spring and multi-purpose mechanisms can be installed for use as a partition inside a room or between rooms. This invention is made to meet users’ convenience and diversity. Brief Description of the Drawings

As regards overall compositions of the shower curtain innovation inside bathroom using spring and multi-purpose mechanisms, its mainly visible exterior compositions consist of three parts being the body part (O), handle part (T) and receiver part (U).

The body part (O) is rectangular, and its sides adjoining the rectangle are triangular, with a characteristic of high frame of which centre is hollow, where the hollow rectangular centre is the area where the axis of fabric rotation is placed in connection to the first spring mechanism. Meanwhile, a second and a third spring mechanisms are in the form of folded curtain. The body part (O) serves as a columnar box for storing the fabric when not drawn out to partition the bathroom. Triangular frame is where the handle part (T) is supported in attaching to the body part (O) when not drawn out to partition the bathroom. Since the body part (O) is hollow, the same body part cap is required on both the top and bottom.

The handle part (T) serves as a carrier in moving and drawing in and from the body part (O) to the receiver part (U). This part is T-shaped with a characteristic of high frame of which centre is hollow and in halves dovetailed using a locking mechanism designed in interior components, where the halves are designed for dovetailing the fabric from the axis of fabric rotation so that it is in the middle of T shape. The end of T serves to be inserted into the triangular frame of body part (O) mentioned in the above paragraph, and the head of T is mounted in the receiver part (U) upon the fabric being drawn out to partition the bathroom. Sides of handle part (T) that are T shape halves to be dovetailed attach the handle at the outer side of T shape. Another part related to the handle part (T) is the handle part cap. Since the handle part (T) is hollow, the same handle part cap is required on both the top and bottom.

The receiver part (U) serves as a receiver for the handle part (T). When the fabric is drawn all the way, it will be fixed using magnetic force. This part is U-shaped with a columnar nature of which centre is hollow. Another part related to the receiver part (U) is receiver part cap because the receiver part is hollow, thereby requiring the same handle part cap on both the top and bottom.

In the invention of this shower curtain innovation inside bathroom using spring and multipurpose mechanisms, its operational process is based on spring mechanisms, which serve in retracting the shower curtain into the body part (O). The invention of this shower curtain innovation inside bathroom using spring and multi-purpose mechanisms has designed the following three spring mechanisms. The first spring mechanism, or rotated curtain-type spring mechanism, has compositions consisting of the body part cap, spring, spring lock and axis of fabric rotation. One end of spring is locked with the body cap part; the other end is inserted in the spring lock; and the axis of fabric rotation is, in turn, fitted with the bottom of spring lock. The fabric axis is rotated outwards using a fulcrum of the spring lock’s head inserted in the body cap and retracts the fabric using the spring’s force. One shower curtain inside bathroom using spring and multi-purpose mechanisms contains this spring mechanism at two positions, namely the top of body part coupled with body’s top cap part and the bottom of body part coupled with body’s bottom cap part.

The second spring mechanism and third spring mechanism, or folded curtain-type spring mechanisms, are operation of springs coupled with rope or various strings. Springs and rope or strings are coiled together. The spring is coiled on the inside while the rope or string is coiled on the outside, and one end is fixed with handle part (T) structure while the other end is fixed with the spring, operating with regard to retracting the shower curtain into the body part (O). When the shower curtain is to be retracted into the body part (O), springs and rope or strings will retract using their own force; that is, the spring-restoring force. In these mechanisms, the retraction affects tightness and laxity of rope or strings that operate together with springs. These spring mechanisms are positioned collaterally and perpendicularly in relation to exterior components of the shower curtain innovation inside bathroom using spring and multi-purpose mechanisms, consisting of the body part (O), handle part (T) and receiver part (U); and these spring mechanisms are installed on both the top and bottom.

As regards the locking mechanism of handle part (T), we have designed it to be halves for use in gripping the fabric and fastening the handle part halves together, where the locking mechanism operates in two parts, namely press lock and lock base. The press lock is spherical for fitting with the lock base with round hole and lock pin. In principle, the operation begins when the press lock begins to press. The lock base pin is slightly open so that the press lock is fitted with the round-holed lock base. Afterwards, upon pressing, the press lock will be locked by the lock pin to prevent rolling out, making handle part halves assemble into the handle part (T) with the fabric gripped in the handle part (T).

The magnetic mechanism facilitates in sealing the shower curtain shut, where parts related to the magnetic mechanism consist of magnets, handle part (T) and receiver part (U). The magnetic mechanism is used in the operation with regard to drawing the handle part (T) from the body part (O) and attaching to the receiver part (U) so that the curtain fabric is drawn out all the way to form the shower curtain. Magnet parts are attached in the handle part (T) and receiver part (U) that attract and attach the handle part (T) and receiver part (U) when the curtain needs to be drawn out to partition the bathroom.

The operational process of the shower curtain innovation inside bathroom using spring and multi-purpose mechanisms: Following complete on-site installation, its operation commences when the shower curtain needs to close, beginning with drawing of the handle part (T) from the body part (O). Spring mechanisms begins to operate, uncoiling the curtain from the axis of fabric rotation with spring resistance dependent of distance in which the handle pat (T) is drawn from the body part (O). Afterwards, the handle part (T) is drawn all the way and attached to the receiver part (U) using the magnetic mechanism. Following the use, when the handle part (T) is required to be retracted, the handle part (T) is drawn from the receiver part (U), making the magnetic mechanism out of magnet-attracting range, with a little hand support because springs have intrinsic restoring force, until the handle part (T) is re-assembled with the body part (O) like in the original state, and the operational process is deemed complete.
