Abstract:
A stopper mechanism (20) in this shock absorber includes: an intermediate valve (21) provided between a piston (9) and a bottom valve (15); an intermediate chamber (D) formed between the bottom valve (15) and the intermediate valve (21); a shielding member (26) that moves together with the piston (9) relative to an inner cylinder (6); a through hole (30) whereby a bypass flow path (28) connecting a bottom-side chamber (B) and the intermediate chamber (D) is opened or closed as a result of the position relative to the shielding member (26); and a disk valve (23) that is provided to the intermediate valve (21) and generates damping force at the time of a contraction step.
