Abstract:
In order to solve the above purpose, a shock absorber of the present invention is provided with: a cylinder; a piston slidably inserted in the cylinder; a piston rod that is movably inserted in the cylinder and has one end connected to the piston; and a rebound spring that is attached to the outer periphery of the piston rod. The rebound spring has: a coil spring; a holder that is attached to a piston-side end of the coil spring and fitted on the outer periphery of the piston rod; and an annular support that is attached to the opposite piston-side end of the coil spring. The support has a plurality of protrusions on the inner periphery, the diameter of a circle passing the tips of the protrusions is larger than the external diameter of the piston rod, and the protrusions are disposed such that the protrusions are not present at positions 180 degrees out of phase with each other.
