Abstract:
This shift control device for an automatic transmission is provided with: an engagement control unit which controls an engagement hydraulic pressure supplied to an engagement hydraulic chamber of an engagement side friction element; a hydraulic pressure detecting unit which detects the engagement hydraulic pressure; a reference setting unit which calculates a predicted value of the engagement hydraulic pressure during shifting, on the basis of a rising characteristic of the engagement hydraulic pressure from the start of supply of the engagement hydraulic pressure until the start of engagement of the engagement side friction element, and sets the predicted value as a reference hydraulic pressure; and an engagement start detecting unit which detects the point in time at which the engagement side friction element starts to engage, on the basis of a difference between the hydraulic pressure detected by the hydraulic pressure detecting unit during shifting and the reference hydraulic pressure.
