Abstract:
Provided is a compact sheet manufacturing device such that a housing space for a shutter is reduced and the inadvertent opening of the shutter can be prevented. This sheet manufacturing device is equipped with a mounting portion 200 to which a container (powder housing container 150) for housing powder is mounted, the sheet manufacturing device manufacturing a sheet including powder and fiber. The mounting portion has an introducing port 153 for receiving the powder from the container and a first shutter 130 for opening/closing the introducing port. In operative association with the mounting and removal of the container to and from the mounting portion, the first shutter is movable between an open position to open the introducing port and a closed position to close the introducing port. The first shutter is equipped with a plurality of shutter members. With the first shutter in the open position, the plurality of shutter members are stored in overlapping relation with each other.
