Abstract:
A shaft seal structure (90) comprises: a shaft seal housing (91) having an insertion hole (92) through which a rotary shaft (41) is inserted; a flexible cylindrical thin plate (93) accommodated in the insertion hole (91); and a support (97) that is disposed between the shaft seal housing (91) and the thin plate (93), and that elastically supports the thin plate (93). The thin plate (93) is opposed to the rotary shaft (41) with a gap (G2) formed between the thin plate (93) and the rotary shaft (41). The support (97) restricts the flow of fluid in a direction along the rotary shaft (41).
