Abstract:
A shaft member for a rolling bearing device for a wheel is provided with a shaft section, a flange base section, and an interlocking shaft section. A plurality of flange sections which extend radially in the direction of the outer diameter are formed in the flange base section. In the outer peripheral surface of the flange base section and between adjacent flange sections, webbed protrusions are formed in the peripheral direction so as to protrude in the direction of the outer diameter.
