Abstract:
The present invention belongs to the technical field of isotope separation and purification, and specifically disclosed is a separation device for a carbon-14 isotope which comprises a plurality of stages of operating towers, each stage of operating towers comprising an exchange tower, a gas-liquid separation apparatus, and a decomposition kettle. The bottom of exchange towers at each stage before the last stage is connected to the top of an exchange tower at the next stage by means of an inter-stage conveying pump, the bottom of a exchange tower at the last stage is connected to a 14CO2 collection apparatus, the top of the exchange towers at each stage except the first stage is connected to the bottom of the exchange towers at the previous stage by means of a gas pipe II. The bottom of a decomposition kettle at the first stage is connected to the top of a exchange tower at the first stage by means of a liquid conveying pump, and the bottoms of decomposition kettles at other stages other than the first stage are all connected to the decomposition kettle at the first stage b means of a liquid pipe II. In the present invention, the obtained carbon-14 isotope has a high purity that can reach up to 99% or more; and the present invention has simple process steps, low costs and is safer and simpler compared to conventional gas cascade methods.
