Abstract:
Sensor units (20) are provided in a plurality of locations along the outer circumference of a fixed-side member of a wheel bearing, said fixed-side member being either an outer member (1) or an inner member (2). A load-estimating means (31) that selects an estimation-calculation parameter depending on the region in which an input load evaluation value lies and estimates a load on the basis of said estimation-calculation parameter and sensor output from the sensor units (20) is provided. Via a regression analysis performed on input load values supplied for learning purposes and the resulting sensor output from the sensor units (20), a parameter-generating means (32) performs a statistical evaluation using the correlations between the input load values and loads estimated on the basis of estimation-calculation parameters on a per-region basis. Said evaluation is used to set the regions and the estimation-calculation parameters therefor.
