Title:
SENSOR-EQUIPPED BEARING FOR WHEEL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/052864
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A sensor-equipped bearing for a wheel is configured in such a manner that loads acting on the bearing and on the ground contact surface of a tire can be accurately detected for a long time period by preventing a sensor from failing due to influence of an external environment and that routing of a cable and mounting of the sensor are facilitated.  The bearing for a wheel is formed by arranging rolling bodies (5) between double-row opposed rolling surfaces (3, 4) of an outer member (1) and an inner member (2).  An electronic part including sensor units (20), a signal processing IC (25) for processing signals outputted from the sensor units, and a signal cable (26) for taking out the processed output signals to the outside of the bearing is mounted inside an annular protective cover (27), and this forms a sensor assembly (28) having an annular shape.  The sensor assembly (28) is mounted on a peripheral surface of a fixed-side member so as to be coaxial therewith.
