Abstract:
A self-locking anchor nut comprises a base unit (1) fastened to the component (11) by rivets (12), and a cylindrical body (4), mounted in the aperture (3) of the unit (1) and connected to the same by a tight screw thread on the mating surfaces (8) of the body (4) and the base unit (1). The cylindrical body (4) has a central threaded aperture (7) and is provided with an outer collar (9) above the section with the tight thread. The direction of the turns of the thread is opposite to that of the thread in the central aperture (7).
