Abstract:
A self-backlash eliminating worm pair structure having double worms, comprising a fixed worm (2), a movable worm (3), and an elastic structure (4). The movable worm (3) and the fixed worm (2) are coaxially rotatable; the movable worm (3) and the fixed worm (2) are circumferentially fixed and relatively movable in the axial direction; the elastic structure (4) is mounted between the fixed worm (2) and the movable worm (3) to provide a force away from each other for the fixed worm (2) and the movable worm (3) such that both the fixed worm (2) and the movable worm (3) can contact the tooth surface of a worm gear (1), so as to eliminate the backlash between the worm gear (1) and the fixed worm (2) as well as between the worm gear (1) and the movable worm (3). Moreover, the elastic structure (4) can compensate for the wear of the worm gear and worms in real time, so that high-precision transmission can be achieved, without manual adjustment of the worm gear and worms periodically.
