Abstract:
A secondary battery and an electronic device. The secondary battery comprises a housing, an electrode assembly, and a current collector plate; the current collector plate is electrically connected to the electrode assembly; the bottom of the housing comprises a main body area and a thinned area connected to the main body area, the thinned area being electrically connected to the current collector plate; and the thinned area occupying 2% to 30% of the total area of the bottom of the housing. By arranging the thinned area in a middle region of the bottom of the housing, the thinned area being connected to the current collector plate via laser welding, the thinned area significantly reduces welding power during bottom welding, widening the welding window, and effectively improving the welding success rate at the bottom of the battery; moreover, the related technical solution is widely applicable, and can be applied to battery housings of various sizes and various thicknesses, with an improved welding success rate for each.
