Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a sealed structure that includes a sealing ring and that can prevent occurrence of a gap between the inner surface of a shaft hole and the outer circumferential surface of the sealing ring. Said problem is solved by a sealed structure comprising: a shaft; a member having a shaft hole in which the shaft is to be inserted; and a sealing ring for sealing a gap between the outer surface of the shaft and the inner surface of the member. The sealed structure is characterized in that: the shaft has, in the outer surface thereof, a groove in the shape of a circular ring in which the central axis line of the shaft is located at the center; the bottom surface of the groove has a recess; the sealing ring has a protrusion that protrudes from the inner circumferential surface thereof toward the central axis line of the shaft; when the sealing ring is placed inside the groove, the protrusion fits into the recess; when the shaft is rotated, an end face X in the circumferential direction of the protrusion and an end face Y in the circumferential direction of the recess are brought into contact with each other, so that the sealing ring is pushed radially outward; the end faces X and Y are both represented as a straight line; and an angle α of the straight line representing the end face X with respect to the radial direction of the sealing ring and an angle δ of the straight line representing the end face Y with respect to the radial direction of the shaft are both at least 45 degrees.
