Abstract:
This sealing device is disposed between two members that contain an object to be sealed and are relatively displaced, such as an electric-vehicle drive shaft and a housing therefor. A sealing body of conductive rubber provided to the sealing device is fixed in a state of contact with the housing by an outer peripheral seal, and seals the object to be sealed by bringing a sealing surface provided on a conducting lip into surface contact with the drive shaft. The sealing surface is provided with a grease groove, in which grease having conductivity is retained. The grease fills a space between the drive shaft and the sealing surface, and forms a conducting circuit along with the sealing body which causes the drive shaft acting as an antenna for electromagnetic noise to have electrical continuity with the housing.
