Abstract:
This annular sealing device disposed in an annular recess formed in a housing has an annular piston movable along the axis, and an annular inner circumferential seal lip which is adhered to at least a portion of a first edge along the inner circumference of a piston and which slides while being in contact with the inner circumferential surface of the recess, wherein: the first edge includes a first inner circumferential edge having a first thickness, a second inner circumferential edge which is adjacent to the first inner circumferential edge and which has a second thickness thinner than the first thickness, and a third inner circumferential edge which is adjacent to the second inner circumferential edge and which has a third thickness thinner than the second thickness; the first inner circumferential edge, the second inner circumferential edge, and the third inner circumferential edge are disposed from the outer circumference of the piston toward the center in order of the first inner circumferential edge, the second inner circumferential edge, and the third inner circumferential edge; and the inner circumferential seal lip is adhered to the third inner circumferential edge and at least a portion of the second inner circumferential edge, in the first edge, so as to cover a step formed by a difference in thickness between the second inner circumferential edge and the third inner circumferential edge.
