Abstract:
A sealing device (11) is mounted between an outer member (2) and an inner member (5) which rotates coaxially relative to the outer member. The sealing device (11) is configured by combining: a circular double cylinder-shaped first member (50) fitted over the inner member; and a second member (60) provided with core metal (61) fitted in the outer member and also with a seal lip section (62) consisting of an elastic body, the seal lip section (62) being secured to the core metal and in elastic contact with the first member. The inner diameter-side and outer diameter-side circular cylinder sections (501, 502) of the first member are formed so as to extend in the direction of the axis L toward the second member, and an axially extending first labyrinth section (r1) and a radially extending second labyrinth section (r2) which is continuous with the first labyrinth section are formed between the outer diameter-side circular cylinder section of the first member and the second member. The sealing device is characterized in that the length of the first labyrinth section in the direction of the axis L is 1.5 mm or greater.
