Abstract:
[Problem] Provided is a sealing device of a wheel bearing which protects the inner part of the bearing by increasing airtightness of a fit portion and prevents damage caused at the time of fitting by pressure, thereby increasing reliability.
[Solution] A sealing device is constituted of a sealing plate (14) and a slinger (15) which are annular and disposed to face each other and have cross sections formed to be approximately an L letter shape. The sealing plate (14) is constituted of a cored bar (16) and a sealing member (17) which is integrally adhered to a fit portion (16a) of the cored bar (16) by vulcanization adhesion. On the sealing member (17), an annular projection portion (20) is formed by being projected with a level difference δ = 0.25 to 0.30 mm, which is slightly larger than an outer diameter of the fit portion (16a). The annular projection portion (20) has a gradually increased diameter toward an end surface (10c) of an outer member (10), is formed to have a tapered surface having an inclined angle α = 5 to 15 degrees, and is fit by pressure to an end part inner circumferential surface (10d) of the outer member (10) with a fit width L = 0.43 to 2.50 mm.
