Abstract:
This sealed chain, when subjected to a large tensile load, deforms such that a bushing is bent and the amount of protrusion of a bushing protrusion becomes smaller. A bushing protrusion 26a protruding from an inner plate 25 of a bushing 26 has a radially outwardly expanding portion L formed by plastic deformation caused by means of a punch or the like. In this way, the fall-resistance of the inner plate 25 with respect to the bushing 26 is increased. The bushing is made from medium carbon steel or alloyed steel, has a flat hardness of 400 to 700 [HV] throughout a cross section thereof, and prevents the development of cracking in a bushing end surface during plastic deformation of the expanding portion L of the bushing protrusion 26a.
