Abstract:
The gap between a movable sheave and a cylinder is sealed by mounting a seal ring (50) having a rectangular cross section on the radially outward side and an O ring (52) having a circular cross section on the radially inward side. Of the four corners of the seal ring (50), the two corners on the side where the seal ring contacts the O ring (52) are chamfered. Thus, even when the O ring (52) is periodically pressed and deformed along with the deformation of the pulley and the cylinder caused by the belt, the O ring (52) can rheologically move into the V-shaped groove formed between a side wall of a ring groove (38a) and a side surface of the seal ring (50) as a result of the chamfering, and thus, the occurrence of dragging abrasion in the O ring (52) can be inhibited.
