Abstract:
A seal structure for a circular tube body mounted in a shell body, wherein the seal structure does not cause a sealing failure due to errors in the straightness, roundness, and a tolerance in the diameter of the circular tube body and wherein the seal structure absorbs such errors, if any, in the straightness, roundness, and a tolerance in the diameter of the circular tube body.
O-ring holders (13B) in each of which a flat O-ring (12B) for sealing a circular tube body (10) in the horizontal direction and a radial O-ring (16B) for sealing the circular tube body in the axial direction thereof are mounted in directions crossing each other are provided to opposite ends of the circular tube body (10). A pressing means (17B) presses an O-ring holder in the axial direction thereof with a pressing lid (15B) interposed therebetween. The gap between a fluid chamber (20) and the outside is sealed fluid-tight by pressing, with the pressing lid interposed therebetween, the O-ring holder against a tube plate of the fluid chamber by the pressing means to cause the horizontal O-ring to be in pressure contact with the tube plate. The gap between a fluid passage (30) in the circular tube body and the fluid chamber is sealed fluid-tight by causing the radial O-ring to be in pressure contact with the outer periphery of the circular tube body.
