Abstract:
Disclosed is a sanitary ware that has both excellent antifouling properties and high durability. This sanitary ware is characterized by comprising a base for sanitary ware, and a glaze layer provided on the surface of the base, and is characterized in that the arithmetical mean linear roughness Ra of the surface of the glaze layer is 0.03-2.5 μm, the surface of the sanitary ware contains a perfluoropolyether chain, the proportion of all fluorine atoms having a C-F bond with respect to the total number of carbon atoms having a C-F bond and oxygen atoms bound thereto in the perfluoropolyether chain as determined by performing peak resolution of a spectrum obtained by performing an X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) assay on the surface of the sanitary ware is 1.1-1.7, and the proportion of the number of carbon atoms having a CF3 bond in the perfluoropolyether chain with respect to the number of all carbon atoms having a C-F bond in the perfluoropolyether chain as determined by the peak resolution is 20 at% or less.
