Abstract:
Provided is a safety hook wherein a glove or a finger is less likely to be caught between a distal section of a hook part and a distal section of a closing body. This safety hook is provided with a hook part, a closing body swingably supported by the hook part, and a first urging member which urges the closing body from an open position to a closed position. The closing body is provided with a closing body base part, a first arm which is able to open and close an opening of the hook, and a second arm extending in a direction different from that of the first arm. The second arm is provided with a closing body manipulation section. By manipulating the closing body manipulation section, the closing body is moved from the closed position to the open position. The safety hook is further provided with a locking member for securing the closing body at a closed position. The locking member is provided with a locking member manipulation section for manipulating the locking member. By manipulating the locking member manipulation section, the closing body and the locking member can be unlocked.
