Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a rubber composition used for a compressed rubber layer of a transmission belt, the rubber composition comprising a chloroprene rubber, a short fiber, an adhesiveness improver, and carbon black, wherein: the short fiber includes an aramid short fiber; and, with respect to 100 parts by mass of the chloroprene rubber, the proportion of the short fiber is 15-38 parts by mass, the proportion of the aramid short fiber is 5-28 parts by mass, the proportion of the adhesiveness improver is 0.1-3.2 parts by mass, and the proportion of the carbon black is 30-70 parts by mass.
