Abstract:
Proposed is a rotational motion mechanism that receives input of vibration occurring in natural environments as an external force, and converts the vibration into the rotational motion of an inertial body. A rotational motion mechanism comprising: (i) a rotational shaft; (ii) an inertial body that rotates in association with the rotation of the rotational shaft; (iii) an oscillation shaft that is orthogonal to the axial direction of the rotational shaft; (iv) an oscillation frame that rotatably holds the rotational shaft, and that rotates the oscillation shaft through precession of the inertial body in response to an external force that tilts the rotational shaft; (v) a power transmission mechanism that increases the speed of rotation of the oscillation shaft and transmits the resultant rotation to the rotational shaft, and that includes a bevel gear mechanism that converts the direction of the rotational motion of the oscillation shaft into the rotational motion of the rotational shaft; and (vi) a one-way clutch that transmits the rotation of the oscillation shaft to the power transmission mechanism only when the rotational direction of the oscillation shaft matches one specific direction.
