Abstract:
Provided is a rotation transmitting device configured so that the affixation of a housing by a flange is not required and so that engagement elements between an outer ring and an inner ring stably operate. A rotation transmitting device (M) has: an inner ring (3) provided to an input shaft (1); an outer ring (4) provided to an output shaft (2); rollers (5a, 5b) assembled between the inner periphery of the outer ring (4) and the outer periphery of the inner ring (3); an electromagnet (32) assembled, as a drive source for moving a roller retainer (6), to the end of a housing (10), which faces the input shaft (1); a first bearing (51) assembled between the electromagnet (32) and the input shaft (1); a second bearing (52) assembled between the output shaft (2) and the end of the housing (10), which faces the output shaft (2); and a third bearing (53) assembled between the inner ring (3) and the outer ring (4). The rotation transmitting device (M) is further provided with a fourth bearing (54) for preventing the axes of the input shaft (1) and the output shaft (2) from tilting.
