Abstract:
Provided is a compact rotary valve that is equipped with a stem removal prevention function without requiring any special processing or additional component parts. The rotary valve enables accurate and easy assembling of a shaft mounting part for a stem while ensuring excellent seal performance of a gasket, and can reliably prevent removal of the stem. A gasket housing chamber 16 is provided in a stem shaft mounting part 10 on the operation part 5 side, a reduced-diameter part 20 is provided on the operation part side, an enlarged-diameter part 21 having an enlarged diameter is provided on the valve body 3 side, a reduced-diameter step surface 22 is formed at the boundary between the reduced-diameter part and the enlarged-diameter part, a gland 8 having a gasket pushing part 30 is provided on the operation part side, a gasket pressing member 6 is interposed between a lower end surface 30a of the gasket pushing part and a gasket 7, and the reduced-diameter step surface is disposed at least lower than the gasket pressing member. An outer diameter S2 of the enlarged-diameter part is greater than an inner diameter S7 of the gasket pressing member. The reduced-diameter step surface is locked by the gasket pressing member when the stem rises toward the operation part side, thereby preventing the stem from being removed on the operation part side.
