Abstract:
A three−point contact or four point contact radial ball bearing (14) is used as a rolling bearing. The offset amount &dgr , i.e. the axial distance between the center &agr of a radial load applied to a driven pulley (4) from an endless belt (11) and the central position β of the radial ball bearing (14), is set not larger than 40% of the diameter of the pitch circle. Furthermore, the radial gap of the radial ball bearing (14) is set not larger than o.2% of the diameter of the pitch circle. With to the arrangement, the durability of the ball bearing for supporting the driven pulley (4) is ensured while reducing the size.
