Abstract:
A rotary encoder (10) is provided with: a main shaft gear (40); auxiliary shaft gears (61, 81) which mesh with the main shaft gear (40); a main shaft magnet (29) held on the main shaft (20); auxiliary shaft magnets (181, 191) held on the auxiliary shaft gears (61, 81); a main shaft sensor (151); and auxiliary shaft sensors (161, 162). The main shaft magnet (29) is disposed so as to face the main shaft sensor (151), and the auxiliary shaft magnets (181, 191) are disposed so as to face the auxiliary shaft sensors (161, 162). A main shaft magnet magnetic shielding member (30) is disposed on the opposite side of the main shaft magnet (29) to the main shaft sensor (151), and auxiliary shaft magnet magnetic shielding members (182, 192) are disposed on the opposite side of the auxiliary shaft magnets (181, 191) to the auxiliary shaft sensors (161, 162).
