Title:
ROLLING BEARING EQUIPPED WITH IC TAG
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/128035
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A bearing device equipped with an IC tag, for which the main body of the IC tag and the antenna are not easily susceptible to vibration or external force when the IC tag is mounted in the bearing device; and, particularly when mounted in the bearing device by means of precompression, the main body of the IC tag is not deformed; and, when used in an environment in which it comes into contact with lubricating oil or when the precompression must be maintained, the information transmission and reception functions can be ensured in a stable manner for a long time. Holes (6, 7) are formed respectively in the metal faces at the outside ends of the inner ring (2) and the outer ring (1) of conical roller bearings (5), for which rolling bodies (4) comprising a conical roller rotatably held by a retainer (3) are interposed between the outer ring (1) and the inner ring (2). IC tags (8) capable of noncontact communication are mounted within these holes (6, 7) by means of shock-absorbing bodies (9) formed from an elastic rubber material. Even if external force is applied with the surfaces of the outer ring (1) and the inner ring (2) as surfaces to which precompression is applied, and even if vibration or shock is incurred, the distortion, shock or vibration due to that external force is absorbed by the shock-absorbing bodies (9) formed from a rubber-like elastic material.
