Abstract:
This roller bearing comprises: a shell-shaped outer ring having a raceway surface on an inner diameter side; a plurality of rollers rolling on the raceway surface; and a holder that is disposed on the inner diameter side of the shell-shaped outer ring and holds the plurality of rollers. A flange part extending to the inner diameter side is formed in a first region including a first end section located on one axial-direction side of the shell-shaped outer ring. A protrusion protruding to the inner diameter side is formed in a second region including a second end section located on the other axial-direction side of the shell-shaped outer ring. A plurality of the protrusions are provided at intervals in the circumferential direction. When the protrusion amount of the protrusion from the raceway surface is denoted by a length L1, and the thickness at the raceway surface of the shell-shaped outer ring is denoted by a length T1, the length L1 is equal to or less than the length T1.
