Abstract:
A roll cover and a method of manufacturing a roll including the roll cover. The roll cover comprises at least a first layer and a second layer, and is characterized in that the first layer is formed of a thermoplastic fluorine polymer not containing hydroxyl group and the second layer is formed of a thermoplastic fluorine polymer containing hydroxyl group. The outer peripheral surface (first layer) of the roll cover has non-adhesivity, and the inner peripheral surface (second layer) of the roll cover can be adhered to a roll body with a sufficiently adhesive strength without performing a dangerous and troublesome chemical inner surface treatment. Also, the stability of adhesion with elapse of time can be improved. As a result, the chemical inner surface treatment can be eliminated in a step for manufacturing the roll cover to remarkably increase the productivity of the roll cover.
