Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a riblet structure having high resistance reducing performance and being easily manufacturable; and an object having said structure on the surface thereof. [Solution] This riblet structure has a plurality of wave-shaped riblets on the surface thereof, wherein: the crest height of the riblets decreases as the angle between the ridgelines of the riblets and the flow direction of a fluid increases; the distance between riblet bases in the direction perpendicular to the flow direction of the fluid narrows as the angle increases; and the angle between the surface and an inclined surface being the slope of the riblets at the riblet bases, or the curvature at the riblet bases, is the same at all locations in a cross-sectional shape in the direction perpendicular to the flow direction of the fluid.
